Accolo

Java Developer - Great Atmosphere, High-Growth, Big Impact
Job #: INTL-J2EE1

Accolo, a community helping each other find jobs and people for jobs, has been asked to help fill this job for International Compliance Systems, Inc. To apply or refer someone you know, please go to:
http://members.accolo.com/webapp/orion/public/ReferApplyJob.jsp?ID1=nslixy

The leading name in web-based compliance management solution products is seeking your current Oracle JDeveloper and JSF development skills. This is a timely opportunity for the cutting edge Java Developer to apply unbridled ingenuity, and make a huge individual impact in a start-up environment. If you like working in a small team, with big challenges, where decisions are made quickly, and your ideas will drive architecture design, then International Compliance Systems is the right place for you. Our company culture is professional, yet friendly - ask about Movie Day! We have a strong customer base, defined product direction and offer a high-profile and rewarding role.

International Compliance Systems, Inc. is a software development company that specializes in assisting organizations to manage accountability for global compliance (internally and externally). We were incorporated in 1998 and our core team has more than 25 years of experience in helping organizations to better understand and improve their compliance. This is a largely untapped application sector to which we are bringing a new generation of technology. Our Enterprise Compliance Solution (ECM) is a comprehensive intranet/internet compliance solution that emphasizes accountability throughout every level of a company, educational institution, health care provider, or government organization. We are located in Southeastern Massachusetts, 40 minutes south of Boston or 30 minutes east of Providence, Rhode Island.

As a Java Developer based in Fall River, MA, your first challenge will be understanding the existing Java objects and object model, then optimizing that model as we shift to newer, more flexible technology. You will leverage skills in UML (defining use cases and how users will interact with the system). You’ll help drive the migration from the current design that incorporates Java Servlets into our new product suite based on Java Server Faces and Oracle’s ADF or ADF/UIX development framework. The ideal candidate has worked with Java Web Services Architecture and can help drive our intellectual capital toward that arena. You should be adept with JSPs and Oracle JDeveloper. We'd expect that after one month you will fully understand our existing development environment and will have begun work on a new design. At four months you’ll be immersed in the build stage of the team's proposed design. At the nine month stage, we'll pop a cork to celebrate the successful completion of your design!
